While we believe that every student can be a successful IB candidate, we recognize that the IB diploma program is very demanding and requires creativity, open-mindedness, commitment, and perseverance.
An IB student is trained to be a well-rounded reflective critical thinker who can learn, research, and write independently. Those are traits that universities look for when they recruit their students and thus IB students have a higher acceptance rate at top-tier universities.
In addition to that, an IB DP graduate may be exempted from freshman year courses at university which will save them time and money.
A student has the chance to repeat any subject/core element of the IB diploma in order to meet all the requirements needed for the awarding of the IB diploma.
No, The IB Diploma is a two-year program.

The IB diploma program regards CAS as its heart. It is a core element of the diploma program where students get to enhance their personal and interpersonal development through experiential learning.
Creativity
Arts, and other experiences that involve creative thinking.
Activity
Physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle, complementing academic work elsewhere in the DP.
Service
An unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning benefit for the student. The rights, dignity, and autonomy of all those involved are respected.
The well-designed and balanced CAS program at ANPS contributed to the development of our students as members of the community. This idea has been reflected with our 2 small batches of IB students. The skills they developed, the confidence they talk with, the challenges they went through, the awareness they had, and the responsibilities they assumed all contributed to make them true IB people, and by that we mean they have taken really significant steps towards becoming responsible individuals who can communicate at a global scale.

ANPS Graduation Host
As I walked up the stage, I felt overpowered, overpowered by the feeling of agitation. Then I thought to myself, this is what IB has prepared me for, not to enforce new skills on me, but to enhance the skills I already had instilled. It was truly an enduring and a valuable learning experience, not only did it increase my confidence, but also improved my interpersonal skills, and most importantly, fulfilled a childhood dream.

‘In my own childish mind, this was a new and different feeling, a competitive environment that was just full of friendliness and genuine love of art. At the end of the event, it was an incredible sight to see, under the lights of the lampposts and the painters looking back, people and civilians flowing in and stopping in their tracks to gaze and admire the art, I could see all our works and felt like we achieved what we came here for. It wasn't to win, but to convey a message, that it was indeed the Year of Tolerance and the UAE developed to what it is now because of innovation and the people behind it.’
